Message :because some of us have taken general chemistry...
:doing a reaction one way to produce hydrogen, then reversing the same reaction, without any external catalysts or power sources CANNOT produce a net gain in energy, therefor your battery would slowly deplete as I'm assuming its proposing to use electrolysis to produce the hydrogen as all these other scams do. Even if you were using 0 energy to propel the car, due to inefficiencies of the engine, alternator, etc., using the battery for electrolysis of water, then charging the battery via alternator using the engine running, using hydrogen as a fuel would slowly drain the battery completely until the reaction ceased.
:Not to mention electrolysis is a very slow process.

This is the best repsonse I have seen to this thread. There are now adays different catalyst materials that are much more efficients vs only 10yrs ago that allow to less engery and faster electrolysis to take place. These materials also don't degrade and corrode nearly as fast as the older stuff. There are also other things to consider such as amp vs volts, etc when considering the power consumption and the newer materials.
